HAPPY HALLOWEEN

Kennedi looked so cute all dressed up tonight as The Little Mermaid. Her grandma Madsen made her costume and did such a good job. We went trick-or-treating around my old neighborhood, and Kennedi got LOTS of candy. She would go up to the doors all by herself, and wasn't afraid to tell the people if she didn't like that kind of candy, or if they had a dog, she would ask if she could come in and pet it....kind of embarrassing, since I know most of the people, but that is Kennedi.

Kennedi, Mikenzee, and Brayden

Like my costume???? Yes that is painted on :-)

My cousin Michael has an English Bulldog named Olive, and on Wednesday she had 1 puppy. We went out to see her today, and when Kennedi was holding her, Olive came right over and took her out of her hands. It was so funny how protective she was over her little baby, maybe it's because she only had one, but I have never seen a dog act that way before. When someone would come over close to them, Olive would lay on the puppy so you couldn't see her.

Carving Pumpkins

We are back in Moab for the week because Shane is doing seminars for Humana here, Monticello, and in Blanding. Tonight, we carved our pumpkins. I look forward to this every year. Shane always acts like he is sooo put out by doing it, but secretly I know he loves it too. He still has a picture on his phone from the one he did last year that he was so proud of.

I know, I look like a COW!!

Kennedi DID NOT like to get the guts out....she only did that for the picture, and then washed her hands.

She just bossed Grandpa around the whole time.

The finished products......My dad did the one on the left, Shane did Kennedi's little cat, and I did the one on the right.

The one on the left is Shane's from last year.....mine is way better, don't you think?

Catch of a Lifetime

Yesterday, Shane got done with work a little early, so we decided to take our boat out and do a little fishing. We weren't out there too long, when I got a bite and started reeling it in. Right after I got my bite, Shane said he had one too. I grabbed the net to pull mine in the boat, and the whole time, Shane was yelling that his was HUGE! Once I got mine in the boat, I gave him the net to pull his in.........
He was right......it was HUGE!
It made mine, which was a little over a foot long, look like a wee little guy.
Shane was tinkling down both legs. He kept saying, "I need to call someone". So, after a few calls, we had to bring the boat in because both his dad and brother came to check out the fish.
After we went back out, Kennedi even got one.
.
Shane had a really hard time gutting his fish....he wanted to mount it, he said it was a catch of a lifetime, something you only see at Cabelas :-) It measured at 21 inches long. The rest of the night, he was sending a picture of it to everyone he knows.

OnLY 100 dAYs LefT....WhOo HoO!!

Today I noticed my baby ticker said I only have 100 days left. I can't believe how fast this pregnancy is going. It seemed like I was pregnant with Kennedi FOREVER!!
I can't even explain how excited we are to finally have our 2nd child. We have been so blessed. There were times when we thought this would never come, and now here I am, six months pregnant and loving it!

What's better, the Hunt or the Kill?

Matthew drew out for the deer hunt, so we all headed to Moab for the weekend. Today was opening day, so Shane, my dad, Matthew, Heather, and Kyler got up bright and early and headed up on the mountain.

After a long day, they came home with their kill.....a little 2-pt. If you look really really close, maybe zoom in a little bit, you may be able to see the horns, LOL.....but hey, better then nothing right?

Kennedi thought it was pretty cool, but this is the closest she would go to the deer for a picture.

Matthew & Heather

After all the deer excitement was over, Kennedi provided us with some entertainment. I love her dance moves....don't ask me where she comes up with them.

Pig Farm Fun

Kennedi's Preschool went on another field trip today to a pig farm. Even though it was FREEZING & STINKY, the kids had so much fun. They got to hold some babies, and the mom wanted to rip the kids' heads off....she was not happy.

This little pig was born yesterday, Kennedi thought it was so cute until it started pooping on her in the picture below.....Oh what's a pig farm without a little poop getting on ya :-)
Here they are all petting a baby chic. Ok, is it a little weird that she is a head taller then the rest of the kids???

NEW TWILIGHT TRAILER

Twilight HD Exclusive Trailer

OH MY GOSH!!!!! The movie looks SOOOO good! I just keep watching it over and over, Shane thinks I'm going crazy. I can't wait until it comes out. Humana is going to rent out an entire theater for the premier, so we get to go and bring friends and family for free (not that I won't go more then once and I would pay any price). Oh yeah, I'm in full on obsessed mode, but I don't think that I'm the only one, right???

Snowbird Resort Getaway

We spent the past week at Snowbird because Humana (who Shane works for) had a big conference up there. It was so beautiful, and we had such a good time.

During the day while Shane was in meetings, Kennedi and I went down into town and took advantage of the great shopping that we don't have in Redmond. It was fun to do a little baby boy shopping (girl clothes are so much cuter though).

When Shane wasn't busy with meetings, we went on the tram up there. I think at the top, they said we were at 11,000 ft...kinda cool.

YIKES...I'm looking a little plump!

They were getting ready for October Fest, so there were random things like this all over.

Then to make a great week even better, was coming home to a DVR stocked full of my favorite shows that are back on that I'd missed (I know, I know, kind of pathetic :-).
