A Glimpse of Fall & The Pumpkin Patch

Kennedi went on her first field trip today. They went to the Pumpkin Patch in Centerfield. It was really fun for the kids, they all got to go out and pick their own pumpkin.

Saturday night, we went on the mountain with Shane's family to do dutch oven dinner and do some fishing. I forgot my camera, so these lovely pics are from my phone. I love the Fall and I feel like we kind of missed out on it last year living in the colorful state of Arizona. Here is Kennedi with her cousins, Kalie and Kadan.

Melon Days.....Latest project.....Blah Blah Blah

It's been a while since I've posted, but here is what we've been up to.

Last Friday, we went to Green River for Melon Days so Shane could play in the softball tournament. He played Friday night, and then we went and stayed the night in Moab. On Saturday morning, we headed back over for the parade, fun at the park, and yet more softball. My dad had his car in the parade, and somehow I ended up driving it, and my dad ended up in the old car in front of us with his friend. Shane's team did really good....they killed every team they faced, and took 1st place.

I'll just leave it at that, I won't go into the fact that there wasn't much to do in Green River between games, the championship game was at 4:00 AM, and we had to get back home for church at 9:00 AM.....the things we do for softball.

Ok...so, those of you who know me, know that I like to have projects going. I'm always up for painting, or rearranging, or building something. We moved into our house in July, and I was so sick that I really didn't care what stuff looked like. Well, I feel better now, and the wall paper and drapes were starting to get to me. I asked the owners of the house if I could make some improvements, and they gave me the go ahead. So I removed the wall paper, took the drapes down, painted, and replaced the light fixture. Here are the before and after pics.

BEFORE

AFTER - (the walls are tan if you can't tell)

Next project will be the wall paper in the Kitchen.

Half Way There

Since I am 20 weeks pregnant, I thought I would post a few pictures. I can't believe I am already half way there. Time has really gone by fast so far. I am starting to feel great! My morning sickness (more like all day sickness) is almost all the way gone, and I am starting to have a lot more energy.

Kennedi can't wait for her baby brother to get here, she is constantly touching and tickling my belly, and has to kiss him every night before bed. She also has a name picked out, Shane Baby Brother, and she is not budging on it.

On The Road Again.

On Friday, we headed to Logan to spend the weekend with Shane's Grandma Knudsen. She has a farm of all kinds of animals, and a big barn that the kids like to play in. We had a good time, and Kennedi got to experience some new things.

On Saturday, they got out a couple horses for the kids to take turns riding. Kennedi was so excited. This was the first time she had ridden a horse (surprising since Shane grew up riding horses as you can see from the pics to the left, ha ha). By the end of the afternoon, she was riding completely by herself, leading, kicking, and all.

Here is Kennedi with some of her 2nd cousins, Caleb & Anica Knudsen.

Kind of boring to watch, but I had to film her riding.

Saturday night, we went to the "Celebrate America Show" at USU, with Shane's parents, Grandma Knudsen, his sister Shae, Grandpa Spenser, and the whole Shakespear clan (excluding Dallen, who just entered the MTC). It's a fancy dinner, followed by a show put on by Celebrate America Singers & Dancers and Larry Smith Orchestra. This years theme was "Aloha USO". It was so fun to get dressed up and be with family.

OH BOY!!!!

We had our 5th ultrasound today, and got to have another peek at our cute baby.

Here is a picture of his face on a 4D scan.
As soon as I saw this shot, I said "oh boy", so that is what she wrote...it is definitely a boy!

Here is his little profile.

He weighs about 11oz, and measures a week ahead...YAHOO, hopefully he comes a little early because we can't wait to meet this little guy!

First Day of Preschool

Kennedi started her 2nd year of preschool yesterday. She was excited to see her locker and desk....luckily she was distracted and didn't notice that she didn't get either.
It's nice that it's just around the corner from our house, so we can just walk her to school.
Of course, she thinks she is pretty cool.

Labor Day Weekend in MOAB

On Friday, when Shane got done with meetings in Cedar City, we went home, picked up our 4-wheeler, and headed to Moab. On Saturday, we went up on the mountain with some of my family to do some fishing, eat lunch, and ride 4-wheelers. We couldn't go to the lake we wanted to because of the fires, so we ended up at this lame one, and the fishing was not good. Kennedi still had a blast though.

On Sunday, we just hung out at my parent's house. My niece and nephew were there, and Kennedi absolutely adores Kenzee. Kennedi and Kyler have more of a competitive relationship (they fight constantly).

More Kennedi entertainment!

My cute niece, Kenzee

My nephew, Kyler

Shane's little brother Coby, and his wife Jessica were in Moab over the weekend with some of their friends. They were being CRAZY, and jumping into the Power Dam, so we went up to watch them. Let me just say, I would NEVER do this, nor would I ever let Shane. There is a certain spot you have to hit when you jump in, and if you don't hit that spot, you hit rocks and die (ok, maybe just get paralyzed or break some bones, anyways, it's crazy!!).

My dad and Shane went on a 4-wheeler ride on one of the trails earlier that day. Here are some of the cool pictures they took.
