Good old Cedar City

On Wednesday, we went to Cedar City for some more of Shane's work meetings. It was fun to go back, I was amazed at how much it's changed since we lived there 4 years ago. We had such a good time going to school there, and have a lot of good memories. We got to spend time with some of our friends that still live there, Kennedi and I spent all day Thursday with Tara and Jaggar, and that night we went to dinner with Jav & Tara, Trevor & Nichole, and all their kids.

On Friday, we met up with Joe & Marci Coombs, some of our really good friends that we met while living in AZ. Kennedi was best buds with their boys, Grant and Carson. We went to Discovery Park so the kids could play for a while and then went to lunch at the Pizza Factory. It was sooo good to see them, they are so much fun, we laughed so hard through lunch I was almost crying. We miss them a ton!

Sanpete County Fair

We had so much fun this weekend at the Sanpete County Fair in Manti. On Thursday, we went to the demolition derby. I had never been to one before, and it was way fun. I think about 5or 6 cars flipped over, so that added to the excitement.

Gotta love Kennedi....dancing away, not caring that there are hundreds of strange people all around her.

We had a perfect view of the temple from where we were sitting....it was so beautiful when it started to get dark.

On Friday, my parents and little brother Matthew came to our house. My dad hauled his Camaro over so he could take it to the burn out in Manti. They blocked off Main St and wet it down so that all the old cars could burn out on it, and then cruise down Main. Every time my dad went through, he took someone from Shane's family for a ride, it was pretty fun.

On Saturday, my mom and I went shopping in Richfield (exciting huh...they do have some cute stores) and Shane, my dad, Matthew, and Kennedi went back to Manti to go to the car show and to the carnival. Kennedi had a blast. She is really tall for her age and totally fearless, so she could go on all but one ride. She went on the Tilt a Whirl with Matthew, the Ferris Wheel with Shane, and the swings all by herself.

Olympics

Just like everyone else, I am totally into the Olympics!! Shane and I stay up late every night watching them. Last night we watched Kerri Walsh and Misty May-Treanor win the gold in beach volleyball. It was so fun to watch....my stomach was in knots the whole time. Can you imagine playing in the poring rain? But they were amazing!
I'm going to be a little sad when the Olympics are done.

Some Cute Pictures!

Here are some pictures I took on my phone. We had dinner at Shane's dad's house the other night, and afterward, Kennedi and unlce Coby went out to feed the rest of the corn on the cob and lettuce to Chet and Duggan.

No, this is not Shane, this is his little brother Coby. People come up to him all the time and think that he is Shane (I don't think they look that much alike...Shane has about 20lbs on Coby, ha ha).

Bees, Bees, Bees!!

So, Since we have lived in Redmond, Kennedi is NEVER in the house. She is always outside playing with the neighbor kids. Today, I heard her crying, or I guess I should say screaming outside, so I ran out the door to see what was wrong. She was holding her hand yelling, "I got stung by a bee again". Yes that is AGAIN! This same thing happened just last week.

After I got a band-aid on it (band-aids make everything better), she calmed down and told me that the bee died because it stung her. That made me laugh, apparently she was paying attention when she watch A Bee Movie.

The Dentist

This morning we got to the dentist's office in Springville at 8:00. They took Kennedi in and gave her some medicine and about 20 minutes later she went to sleep. Then they started on her teeth. She has very soft molars, which runs in my family, so the top two had to have fillings and the bottom two had to have root canals and crowns put on them. She slept through everything and did great until they got to the last one, the bottom right molar. She woke up and was totally freaking out. Me and two nurses had to hold her down, while the dentist continued to do the root canal. I don't know if it was hurting her, because she was still numb, or if it just scared her. After he got it done, she relaxed and went back to sleep, and I just started crying. I just felt so bad that she had to go through that. When she was all done, we drove home and she slept until 5:00 this afternoon. When she finally woke up, I asked her what she remembered and she told me that she woke up and the dentist was choking her and holding her arms and legs down. But she feels good now, and loves her two new silver teeth and she can't stop looking at them in the mirror.

We're back up and going!

Big thanks to Lindsey for the help with my background.

So we spoke in church today....and it went really good. Kennedi stood up and I whispered her talk into her ear and she did sooo good. She totally loves to speak in the microphone, and doesn't get nervous at all. Hopefully that stays with her as she gets older.

Tomorrow we have to go to Springville to a Pediatric Dentist. Kennedi has to be put under and get 2 crowns and 2 fillings. I'm a little nervous, but I'm sure everything will be fine. I'll post tomorrow to tell how it went.

UGH!!

Ok, so apparently my background isn't going to fix itself like I was hoping, ha ha, but just bare with me until I can figure it out. We have to speak in church on Sunday AGAIN, I just spoke on Father's Day, so I'm trying to get that prepared, and then I will tend to my poor blog.

Issues!!

HMMMM, where is my background??? I'm missing some other stuff too. Not sure what is wrong with my blog.....looks like it's having some cosmetic issues. Hopefully it snaps out of it on it's own, we'll see. UGH!!

Riding Bikes

My mom was at Snow College for Youth Conference the last couple of days, so Kennedi and I went up to hang out with her. They had some free time, so they told us we could ride some tandem bikes.
It was so fun! At first, my mom, Kennedi, and me were all on one bike. Then after a while, my mom went with another leader and Kennedi and I were on our own bike. We drove all around the campus, and I showed Kennedi where I used to live. It was really neat. Kennedi loved it!

Breaking Dawn IS HERE!!!

I'm so excited Breaking Dawn is FINALLY HERE!!! I have my copy and can't wait to start it on Monday. Shane is going to want to kill me, because once I get in to it, I zone the rest of the world out.
I was thrilled to see it is 768 pages.....I can't wait!!!!
